about
Fun Facts:

- Same as 11:34 this EP was recorded entirely on an 8 track minidisc recorder (a Yamaha MD8) in John's basement. To do this we recorded all of the drums first and mixed them down to one track. Then the same with the vocals, guitar, bass and horns. The "fun" part about this process was that if we found a mess up on an instrument that was mixed down already we had to start the song over from scratch. When you only have 8 tracks to work with and have to mic around 16 different sources you have to get creative =).
- During mixing John recorded over part of one of the vocal tracks by accident.
- On "Just Like Last Time" the clap sounds at the end of the song are not handclaps. It is the sound of the noise gate on the md8 opening and closing during recording. I don't know why we left it in but at least it almost sounded like it belonged there.
- P.R.A. stands for "Punk Rock Adam". He was a good friend of all of ours for years (I used to play SNES with him when we were 12) and was a regular of the Staten Island music scene. The song was named after him but is not directly about him.

Track Name: P.R.A.
Day after day
Still feel the same
Nothing left to say
But still I hesitate
Hold it all inside
Hope I'll be alright
Am I out of line
I don't want to be out of line

And I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it
I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it

Need a change of pace
One time can't erase
Get me out of this place
They say I'm such a waste
Hold it all inside
Hope I'll be alright
Am I out of line
I don't want to be out of line

And I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it
I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it

Day after day
Still feel the same
Nothing left to say
And still I hesitate
Hold it all inside
Hope I'll be alright
Am I out of line
I don't want to be out of line

And I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it
I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it
And I am
Feeling like I'm changing but I still don't know if I can take it

Track Name: Angel
It seems that all she ever wanted to know
She said
Don't forget me when and if you go
And if you leave i'll try to be alright
Please try
To call me every night
If you can

I'll dream of holding your hand
And though these dreams are black and white
You're an angel tonight
And i'm an asshole
In a ska/punk band

It seems that all I ever wanted to know
Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa
Everything will be ok
You can leave but i'll stay
And I just want to hold your hand
If I can

I'll dream of holding your hand
And if you think of me tonight
Everything will be alright
And I just want to hold your hand

You're my angel
Track Name: Supernova (Last Tuesday Night)
Remember when we glowed like burning stars now dark and cold
The sky just doesn't look the same
We played the game of trust you broke the rules it hurt so much
Next time you're falling I won't pick you up again

Where where you last Tuesday night
I heard a rumor this just isn't right
Another pretty face
Another time and place
I think my luck is gonna change

A broken promise
Nothing can stop this
Look in my eyes
It won't mean anything at all

All the planning
Fuck understanding
This was your choice
It won't mean anything at all

Another day goes by with one more chance to make things right
But it doesn't change a thing
This roller coaster ride has made me sick too many times
I'll never wish upon a fading star again

Where where you last Tuesday night
I heard a rumor this just isn't right
Another pretty face
Another time and place
I think my luck is gonna change

A broken promise
Nothing can stop this
Look in my eyes
It won't mean anything at all

All the planning
Fuck understanding
This was your choice
It won't mean anything at all

Where were you last Tuesday night?
Track Name: Just Like Last Time
The wrong girl
Walked through the wrong door
At exactly the right time I wish
I saw then what I see now
How could I be so blind

My heart is broken in two
And she don't care
And there's absolutely nothing I can do (or say)
Maybe tomorrow there will be another door, another girl, a little time, another broken heart

Or maybe just like last time
She'll think I'm funny and she'll spend all my money
She'll call me honey and if I'm really lucky
I'll take of from work she'll cut out of school
She'll meet someone else and I'll end up a fool
I'll end up a fool

Maybe next time things will go better
I won't get that phone call
Won't get that letter
She'll tell me how much she loves me
And that there's no one above me

She'll always hold my hand
She'll understand and keep a picture of us on her nightstand
She'll ask me how my day was
And no one will take us apart
Maybe next time (maybe next time) there will be no broken heart

Or maybe just like last time
She'll think I'm funny and she'll spend all my money
She'll call me honey and if I'm really lucky
I'll take of from work she'll cut out of school
She'll meet someone else or maybe...

Just last time she'll just go crazy
And then she'll leave me and I'll cry like a baby
And maybe it won't be long
Till she hears this song
She says I'm wrong and tells me to fuck off

Yeah she says I'm wrong
Yeah she says I'm wrong
Yeah she says I'm wrong
They all say I'm wrong

I can't wait till I find the right girl
Track Name: Wrong Side of the Bed
Saturday morning
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed
My ears are ringing
A million thoughts racing through my head

I wipe the sleep away
As the phones ringing off the hook
The radio is too loud
Its too fucking loud

I went outside and stopped to say
I wish I could sleep all fucking day
My ears are ringing
Driving me insane I'm singing

Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa
Hey

Too many mornings
I'm waking up and don't remember anything
And its driving me insane
The phones ringing off the hook
And its driving me insane
And the man on the receiver yeah is telling me
He's telling me its time to go

I went outside and stopped to say
I wish I could sleep all fucking day
My ears are ringing
Driving me insane I'm singing

Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa

I went outside and stopped to say
I wish I could sleep all fucking day
My ears are ringing
Driving me insane I'm singing

Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa
Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa
Track Name: Alarm Clock
Sometimes I don't want to get out of bed
So much pressure in such little time
I'm being pulled in every direction
Is there enough to even make me care

They said I'm wasting all my time
I don't need their opinions
Criticism hurts
When the clock is ticking
The snooze buttons broken
Will I be alright
When the alarm goes off

Sometimes I feel all used up (Whoa Whoa Whoa)
Like there's nothing left for me to give
It's a painful realization (Whoa Whoa Whoa)
And in the end who will still be there

Its hard keeping my dreams alive
With everyone's opinions
Criticism hurts
When the clock is ticking
The snooze buttons broken
Will I be alright
When the alarm goes off

They said I'm wasting all my time
I don't need their opinions
Criticism hurts
When the clock is ticking
The snooze buttons broken
Will I be alright
When the alarm goes off
Track Name: Too Little Too Late
Wake me up
I hope this was a bad dream
It seems I've gone to far to understand

When I felt
There was no left too
Pick me up and put me back to bed

Sometimes I like to hide
Sometimes I want to fall asleep again
Whoa (Whoa) Whoa
Could this be the end
Don't let me fall again

Wake me up
I guess I should have realized
It's still so hard for me to be your friend

I was wrong
I never want to hurt you
I give it all for you to hold my hand

Sometimes I like to hide
Sometimes I want to fall asleep again
Whoa (Whoa) Whoa
Could this be the end
Don't let me fall again

You said I'd always change
It's different
Nothings going to be the same
Too little too late
I'm leaving
Why did you have to be that way
And still things rearrange
I'm broken
Do you think you'll need me today

Sometimes I like to hide
Sometimes I want to fall asleep again
Whoa (Whoa) Whoa
Could this be the end
Track Name: Answers to the Wind
And there were tears in your eyes
And there were sunbeams in your hair
And there were tears in your eyes
And there were sunbeams in your hair
And then it all came crashing down on me

I should have known that you were lying
When you said that you loved me but you were crying
I wondered why you weren't talking
When you turned your head away and starting walking

And there were tears in your eyes
And there were sunbeams in your hair
Yeah there were tears in your eyes
And there were sunbeams in your hair
And then it all came crashing down on me

I'm leaving you for now she said
I need some time to clear my head
Right now this seems to be the end
She's throwing answers to the wind

And now I'm all alone and thinking of you and all the good times we shared
Sometimes I wonder if you ever do the same
Sometimes I think you never cared
And I think back to the tears in your eyes
And the sunbeams in your hair
If you ever name the time and place
You know I'll always meet you there
(And it would all come crashing down)

I'm leaving you for now she said
I need some time to clear my head
Right now this seems to be the end
She's throwing answers to the wind

And there were tears in your eyes (I should have known that you were lying)
And there were sunbeams in your hair
Yeah there were tears in your eyes (I should have known that you were lying)
And there were sunbeams in your hair
And then it all came crashing down on me
