I believe this is the second song we wrote that was arranged with horns in mind (the first one being a song that was recorded for 11:34 (but lost) called "Hit the Ground").
We re-recorded this song for the Still Waiting EP in 2002 which included Dreya's Alto Sax part (she wasn't in the band when we recorded 11:34) and a variation on the arrangement in a few places. The addition of the 3rd horn harmony on Still Waiting added something extra to the song; though I do miss the alarm clock sound that exists only in this version.
I still like listening to this version every once and a while as it set a place in time where we were still playing around with arrangements and self recording. Try to listen to both versions and see if you can spot the differences =)

Lyrics:
Sometimes I don't want to get out of bed
So much pressure in such little time
I'm being pulled in every direction
Is there enough to even make me care
They said I'm wasting all my time
I don't need their opinions
Criticism hurts
When the clock is ticking
The snooze buttons broken
Will I be alright
When the alarm goes off
Sometimes I feel all used up (Whoa Whoa Whoa)
Like there's nothing left for me to give
It's a painful realization (Whoa Whoa Whoa)
And in the end who will still be there
Its hard keeping my dreams alive
With everyone's opinions
Criticism hurts
When the clock is ticking
The snooze buttons broken
Will I be alright
When the alarm goes off
They said I'm wasting all my time
I don't need their opinions
Criticism hurts
When the clock is ticking
The snooze buttons broken
Will I be alright
When the alarm goes off
